Guterres condemns attacks in Congo
New York, 23 November (Hibya) – United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the attacks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo that left 89 people dead, stressing that the UN will continue its efforts to protect civilians.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned the attacks carried out by the Allied Democratic Forces armed group in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which resulted in the deaths of at least 89 people.
Guterres emphasized that the UN, through MONUSCO, will continue supporting Congolese authorities in protecting civilians, preventing human rights violations, and combating impunity.
