Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

The rebel group Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM), which controls the mountainous regions of Darfur, reported that the mountain village of Tarasin in the Marra Mountains was completely wiped out by the landslide, with only one person surviving the disaster.

In a statement about the disaster, the SLM said: “According to initial information, all the villagers, estimated to number over a thousand, died and only one survived.”

The movement added that the landslide devastated parts of the region famous for its cedar trees. It called on the United Nations and other aid organizations to help recover the bodies of the dead trapped under mud and rocks.

Darfur Regional Governor Minni Minnawi described the landslide as “a humanitarian tragedy extending beyond the region’s borders.” He also appealed to international humanitarian organizations to assist local residents.

Due to the ongoing civil war, much of Darfur is closed to aid organizations. The RSF rebel army controls large parts of the region and has launched an attack on the capital of North Darfur, El-Fashir. The Sudan Liberation Movement is allied with the Sudanese government army against the RSF.
