European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that the EU's resolve to support Ukraine remains steadfast and unchanged.
Leyen announced that the EU is increasing pressure on Russia, stating: "Due to Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine, we are expanding our sanctions against approximately 2,400 individuals and entities, including travel bans, asset freezes, and restrictions on financing/resources."
