Lazzarini: Our teams continue to work at full capacity in Gaza
New York, February 11 (Hibya) – Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), announced that teams are continuing to operate at full capacity in Gaza.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Lazzarini emphasized that agency teams are operating at full capacity in Gaza, providing exemplary humanitarian services to people struggling with 15 months of bombings and forced displacement.
Lazzarini noted that 7,000 dedicated personnel on the ground are delivering essential food to 1.2 million people relying on these services. He added: "Up to 17,000 medical consultations are provided daily. UNRWA must be supported to continue playing a key role in implementing the fragile ceasefire agreement."
