Lahbib: We stand with you in the fight for peace, dignity and human rights
Brussels, October 24 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, issued a statement on the occasion of United Nations Day (#UNDay), praising the dedicated efforts of UN staff in the face of global humanitarian crises.
In a social media post, Lahbib wrote: “Today we celebrate the tireless efforts of our colleagues working at the United Nations. At a time when the world faces increasing humanitarian crises, you embody the spirit of global solidarity to ease suffering.”
Emphasizing that the EU will always stand in solidarity with the UN, Lahbib added: “The European Union stands shoulder to shoulder with you in the fight for peace, dignity and the defense of human rights for all.”
