Lahbib: As winter approaches, shelter, blankets and winter supplies are essential for Gaza
Brussels, November 20 (Hibya) – EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that, in cooperation with UNICEF, 56 tons of additional shelter materials for Gaza have been delivered to Egypt’s El Arish.
Lahbib stated that the shipments were transported to the region via the EU Humanitarian Air Bridge. She emphasized that with the winter season approaching, shelter, blankets and winter kits have become urgent needs in Gaza. Highlighting the need for broader and uninterrupted humanitarian access, Lahbib said:
“The European Union and our partner UNICEF have transported 56 tons of additional shelter materials for Gaza to El Arish via the EU Humanitarian Air Bridge. As winter approaches, shelter, blankets and winter kits are urgently needed. Humanitarian aid must reach Gaza comprehensively and without interruption.”
