Israel blocks Turkish rescue teams from entering Gaza
Stockholm, October 17 (Hibya) – An Israeli official told *The Jerusalem Post* on Thursday that Israel will continue to deny entry to a Turkish delegation consisting of 81 rescue personnel and heavy equipment into the Gaza Strip until Hamas returns all possible hostages’ bodies.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also convened senior security officials to discuss Hamas’s refusal to return the bodies of the fallen and the next phase of the Trump plan.
Another source said: “Hamas currently has a group of hostages’ bodies it can return and knows the location of another group, but it needs equipment and assistance to retrieve them. There are also some bodies whose exact locations are unknown.”
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said on Thursday: “We know for certain that Hamas can easily release a significant number of hostages under the agreement. What they are doing now is a fundamental violation of that agreement.”
