Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi Met with OIC Secretary-General Taha
Tehran, February 10 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi had a telephone conversation with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, discussed with OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the dangerous joint conspiracy of the Israeli regime and the United States to forcibly displace the Palestinian people.
The Iranian Foreign Minister condemned the U.S. and Israel's plans for ethnic cleansing in Gaza and the elimination of Palestine, emphasizing the necessity of a coordinated and unified stance by the Islamic community to prevent this conspiracy.
Araghchi added that the plan to forcibly expel Palestinians from Gaza is not only a massive crime equivalent to "genocide" but also poses dangerous consequences for regional and global stability and security.
The Iranian Foreign Minister called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to immediately convene an emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of member states to take decisive and effective measures in defense of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The Secretary-General of the OIC, in turn, condemned the crimes committed against the Palestinian people, stating that the conspiracy to forcibly displace the people of Gaza is entirely unacceptable and invalid.
