Committee members expressed their full support for the Palestinian people and condemned the serious violations taking place in Palestinian territories. They also emphasized the importance of joint action to ensure the success of the Palestinian government's and people's efforts toward freedom and independence.

Minister Shaheen thanked the committee members for their continued efforts to bring the Palestinian issue to the government's agenda. He also briefed them on the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by the people in the Gaza Strip and northern West Bank.

Dr. Shaheen further noted that the advisory ruling of the International Court of Justice on the occupation is clear and should be used as a roadmap in discussions with governments.
