Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

According to the National Disaster Management Authority, at least 54 deaths occurred in the last 24 hours in Punjab, the most populous province, after heavy rains destroyed homes and damaged roads.

The authority stated that at least 85 children have died since the floods began on June 26.

Relief organizations report growing concern for children who are particularly vulnerable to drowning and waterborne diseases.

Authorities said a state of emergency has been declared in several districts across the province and that the army has been deployed in the city of Rawalpindi to manage the rising flood levels.

A video shared by the Punjab Disaster Management Authority shows dramatic rescues as floodwaters submerge fields and roads. In one clip, rescue teams are seen transporting children to safety in an inflatable boat.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, heavy rains continue in Rawalpindi and the nearby capital Islamabad, with more than 100 millimeters recorded in many areas on Thursday. Even heavier rainfall is expected on Friday.
