Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Ghebreyesus welcomed Hamas’s commitment to releasing hostages and Israel’s support for halting bombings in the Gaza Strip under the U.S. peace plan.

He noted that in the past two years, they had never been this close to peace: “We cannot miss this opportunity. Too many lives have been lost and too much destruction has occurred.”

Ghebreyesus emphasized the need to begin building a healthy and safe future for all Palestinians and Israelis, adding:

“Since before the conflict and throughout the war, WHO has been the main provider of medicines and medical supplies in Gaza and will continue supporting the delivery of health services to all in need. Since October 7, 2023, we have supplied materials that supported over 22 million treatments and surgeries.”

Ghebreyesus added: “From now on, we commit to continuing to work closely with all our partners in this massive task of rebuilding Gaza’s shattered health system.”
