IDF: The body of the Israeli soldier was handed over to the Red Cross
Jerusalem, November 9 (Hibya) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they had received, through the Red Cross, the coffin of an Israeli soldier who died while being held hostage.
According to an IDF statement, Israel received the body of a hostage through the mediation of the Red Cross.
The body of the Israeli soldier, who died during captivity, was handed over to Israeli forces in an area of the Gaza Strip. The military unit that received the body recently crossed the border and entered Israeli territory.
The body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification.
The statement emphasized that Hamas must fully comply with the agreement regarding the return of captives and the deceased.
