Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand issued a statement highlighting the role of civil society organizations in achieving lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Anand said that civil society groups are helping to build the foundations of sustainable peace in the region. She thanked those who participated in the constructive discussions held within this framework and emphasized the importance of the contributions made by all participants involved in the process.

Anand also drew attention to the work being carried out under the International Fund for Israeli-Palestinian Peace, which had previously been announced internationally, and stated that cooperation would continue in order to advance the process.
