Budrys: 18th sanctions package approved
Tallinn, July 18 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated that the 18th sanctions package has been approved and that Europe has launched a sanctions blow targeting the heart of Russia’s war economy—one that cannot be ignored.
Foreign Minister Budrys announced the approval of the 18th sanctions package.
He emphasized that Europe has initiated a major sanctions strike at the core of Russia’s war economy and said:
“Additional sanctions on more than 100 shadow fleet ships, 22 Russian banks, the complete ban of Nordstream 1 and 2, and lowering the oil price cap are accelerating the depletion of blood money Russia uses for war.”
Budrys noted that the EU has paved the way: “Now it’s time for the perfect storm – the U.S. Senate’s vote on a sanctions bill that will place overwhelming pressure on the Russian economy and those who fund its aggressive war. Peace through strength.”
