President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on October 2 within the framework of the 7th European Political Community Summit held in Copenhagen.

During the meeting, the developing relations within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy were reviewed. The parties highlighted the importance of the recent official visit of the President of Italy to Azerbaijan and the opening of the first campus of the Italy-Azerbaijan University in Baku.

The meeting also underlined that energy cooperation between the two countries contributes to Italy’s energy security. Expanding cooperation in investments, culture, humanitarian fields, and other areas was also discussed.
