Zelensky: We are taking constructive steps on the path to ending the war
Kyiv, 23 November (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described his meetings with the leaders of Canada, Croatia, and Luxembourg, emphasizing the support of European countries for the peace process.
Zelensky described his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney as “very good and useful.” He stated that he informed Carney about the work of the negotiating teams in Switzerland and that Ukraine is working as constructively as possible on the steps proposed by the United States.
Zelensky thanked the Prime Minister for his support and readiness to help, announcing that a meeting in the “Volunteers’ Coalition” format is planned for early next week. He also mentioned holding a joint meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden.
Zelensky emphasized that nearly all European countries are closely following the peace process and are ready to participate, underlining the importance of this support. “We believe in a result that will open the path to real and lasting peace. The work must be as substantive as possible, and we will ensure it,” he said.
He thanked all leaders supporting Ukraine and people around the world, noting that efforts to ensure full coordination among friends continue.
