Zelensky said that their talks with Macron strengthened Ukraine’s defense with effective, concrete, and powerful elements.

He stated that the prepared agreements would significantly enhance their defense capabilities and added:

“Ukraine will be able to receive 100 Rafale F4 fighter jets, the most advanced French radars, 8 SAMP/T air defense systems each with 6 launchers, as well as the missiles and guided bombs needed for our defense. This is a strategic and historic agreement that will be valid for 10 years starting next year.”

Zelensky noted that together with Macron they also met with representatives of defense companies and identified cooperation areas that will strengthen the industrial and technological capacities of Ukraine and France.

He added that today another major agreement was reached between Ukrainian Railways and the French company ALSTOM for the acquisition of 55 new electric locomotives, stating: “We are determined to expand this area of cooperation with France.”
