Sanchez: Economic growth and low deficit are the foundation of the welfare state
Madrid, 17 November (Hibya) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez welcomed the European Commission’s latest assessment of the country’s economic outlook.
Sanchez stated on social media that the Commission has once again revised Spain’s economic growth forecast upward.
He also noted that the Financial Times highlighted Spain’s budget deficit falling to its lowest level in nearly twenty years.
Sanchez emphasized the importance of economic discipline and sustainable growth, saying: “Growth and responsibility — this is what sustains our public services and our welfare state.”
