Lipavsky: November 17 reminds us that freedom has a price
Prague, November 12 (Hibya) – Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky made a statement regarding the significance of November 17 in the country’s history.
Lipavsky stated that this date serves as a reminder that freedom comes at a cost, honoring the struggle of those who courageously resisted injustice in 1939 and 1989.
The minister emphasized that the courage shown in those years in the name of freedom also imposes a responsibility on today’s society. Lipavsky said: “Their courage reminds us that we must protect a society in which we can speak freely, create, and decide about our future.”
