Zelensky: Ukraine must respond proportionally to the threat we face
Kyiv, July 21 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated during the official introduction of the new Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal that he outlined one of the Ministry’s key priorities along with the duties of all relevant institutions and the defense industry.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine must respond proportionally to the current threat.
He noted that contracts for all existing and effective anti-drone systems must be signed this week, stating:
"Some contracts have already been signed, while others are still in progress. One of the key priorities should be the training of operators for these drones and supporting the entire infrastructure from production to distribution."
Zelensky added, "We must significantly increase the frequency and range of our UAV attacks on Russian targets. Every facility in Russia used for weapons production must be made accessible to our Defense Forces."
