Zelensky noted that Fajon concluded her visit to Ukraine in Kyiv, stating, “Such visits and support are extremely important, especially for regions where life is difficult under war conditions. We deeply appreciate Slovenia’s solidarity.”

The meeting discussed the PURL initiative, Slovenia’s participation in it, the SAFE mechanism, diplomatic efforts for lasting peace, and efforts to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. Zelensky also emphasized the importance of opening negotiation chapters in Ukraine’s accession process to the European Union.

Thanking Slovenia for its support, Zelensky said, “We especially value your contributions to humanitarian projects and military assistance. This support is vital for our people.”
