Tajani: Italy and Niger aim to strengthen cooperation in the Sahel region
Rome, October 30 (Hibya) – Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, highlighted his country’s strategic importance in the Sahel region during his visit to Niger.
Tajani stated that in his meetings with Niger’s Prime Minister and other ministers, they reaffirmed their determination to pursue joint and equitable cooperation in combating terrorism, arms trafficking, and irregular migration.
He also added that Italy aims to strengthen cooperation in education and vocational training for young people in Niger, in order to reduce the root causes of migration.
