Ukrainian President Zelensky announced that they attended an iftar program in Ukraine.

Zelensky emphasized that this year, diplomatic efforts and the efforts of their partners to bring peace coincided with Ramadan, saying:

"If US pressure on Russia is sufficient, a real opportunity may arise during Ramadan to take strong diplomatic steps toward peace, develop a plan to truly end the war, and ensure security."

Zelensky added: "We in Ukraine hope that these international efforts will be successful and that silence in the sky, at sea, and on the frontlines will help bring peace even closer. We are grateful to all our partners who support us."
