Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Starmer discuss peace process in Ukraine
Kyiv, August 9 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
After the conversation, Zelensky expressed his gratitude to the United Kingdom for its support.
He emphasized that Ukraine and the UK share a common vision for achieving lasting peace, warning against Russia’s approach, which is dragging the process into a deadlock.
"Clear steps must be taken, and maximum coordination between Ukraine and its partners must be ensured," Zelensky said, praising the determination of the UK, the United States, and other allied countries to end the war.
Zelensky stated that Ukraine is actively working for constructive diplomacy, striving to make decisions implementable, and that contacts between the parties will continue.
