Volker Türk: Honored to speak in Helsinki
New York, July 31 (Hibya) - United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk stated that he was honored to speak in Helsinki.
Volker Türk said he was honored to speak in Helsinki, where 50 years ago leaders gathered to overcome the divisions created by the Cold War and to sign the Final Act.
"Back then, they acknowledged that peace and security depend on human rights, dialogue, and cooperation. We must renew this commitment to face the challenges of today and tomorrow," Türk said.
