US Issues Sanctions Waiver Under Caesar Act
Washington, May 24 (Hibya) – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that the United States has issued a sanctions waiver under the Caesar Act.
Secretary Rubio emphasized that easing sanctions is critical for Syria's progress.
He stated that the US issued a Caesar Act waiver to encourage investments and cash flows that facilitate basic services and reconstruction in Syria. “We support the Syrian people's efforts to build a more hopeful future,” Rubio said.
