UK and Australia launch new partnership in weapons development
London, April 3 (Hibya) – The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL) and Australia's Defence Science and Technology (DST) Group have announced a new partnership in weapons development.
The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory and Australia’s Defence Science and Technology Group have unveiled a groundbreaking partnership to develop next-generation subsystems for low-cost weapon systems by combining cutting-edge technologies from both countries.
The partnership is reported to integrate the UK’s Modular Weapons Testbed with Australia’s SHARKTOOTH program.
The program includes an innovative “plug-and-play” modular technology designed to accelerate the adoption of advanced yet affordable weapon technologies. This integration marks a major advancement in complex weapons development and will help speed up the industry’s development of guided weapon subsystems while reducing risks.
