President Donald Trump decided to commemorate the victims of the violence that took place on August 27 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Trump stated: “As a mark of respect for the victims, all United States flags will be flown at half-staff at the White House and on all public buildings and grounds.”
Trump also extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and emphasized the importance of national unity and solidarity.
Under Trump’s directive, flags across the United States will remain at half-staff until August 31, 2025.
