The growing rift between the two former allies, who have drifted apart after Greene criticized Trump on various fronts, has turned into a complicated exchange of blows as the Epstein controversy once again becomes a focal point in Washington.

In a social media post, Trump wrote: “I am withdrawing the support and endorsement I gave to ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene,” adding that Greene, who is running for re-election in 2026, “has moved to the Extreme Left.”

Trump added: “She has told many people she’s upset that I no longer answer her calls, but with 219 members of Congress, 53 U.S. Senators, 24 Cabinet Members, almost 200 countries, and trying to lead a somewhat normal life, I cannot answer the phone every day for an angry lunatic.”

In recent weeks, Greene has openly warned that Trump is focusing too much on foreign policy and not promoting his domestic agenda enough at home, sharing her message via CNN and ABC’s “The View.” Greene, who entered Congress in 2021, was until recently a fiery and outspoken Trump supporter.

On Friday, responding to Trump on social media, Greene wrote: “Of course he’s being so harsh with me, to make an example of me and scare all the other Republicans before next week’s vote on releasing the Epstein files.”
