Russia temporarily suspends oil exports from Novorossiysk
Moscow, November 15 (Hibya) – According to Euro News, Russia has temporarily suspended oil exports from Novorossiysk following a Ukrainian attack.
A major oil terminal located in the Russian port city of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar region has temporarily halted its operations, which account for about 2% of global exports, following Ukrainian attacks.
According to numerous Russian officials and Telegram channels, Russia temporarily suspended around 2% of global oil supplies after a Ukrainian attack on Friday targeting one of the major facilities in the port city of Novorossiysk in the southwest of the region.
Ukrainian attacks have repeatedly targeted Novorossiysk, an important hub for Russia’s Black Sea logistics and energy infrastructure.
Russian oil refineries and petrochemical plants are considered legitimate military targets by Kyiv, as they finance Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The Krasnodar regional operations center reported that the oil terminal was hit and several coastal facilities were damaged.
Local media outlet RIA Novosti reported that a civilian ship in the port was struck during the massive attack, injuring three crew members.
