Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson: Economic pressure on Israel must be increased
Stockholm, July 31 (Hibya) – Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson stated that the situation in Gaza is truly dire and that Israel is failing to fulfill even its most basic obligations and agreements regarding emergency aid.
Prime Minister Kristersson emphasized that the situation in Gaza is extremely serious and that Israel is not fulfilling its fundamental responsibilities regarding urgent aid. He said that for this reason, Sweden has requested the EU to freeze the trade part of the partnership agreement with Israel as soon as possible.
"Economic pressure on Israel must be increased. The Israeli government must allow unhindered humanitarian aid into Gaza. At the same time, pressure on Hamas must be increased to ensure the immediate and unconditional release of hostages."
