Saidov evaluates Berdimuhamedov’s visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, 17 November (Hibya) – Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov evaluated the visit of Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan.
Saidov stated that the fruitful visit of President Berdimuhamedov once again clearly demonstrated the shared desire of the brotherly nations to further strengthen the centuries-old friendship and good-neighbourly relations.
He noted that the leaders thoroughly discussed all issues covering cooperation in industry, energy, transport, agriculture and water management, cultural exchange and many other areas. “An important event was the opening of the joint border trade zone ‘Shovot–Tashhovuz’, which will boost bilateral trade. More than a dozen significant bilateral agreements were also signed,” Saidov said.
Saidov announced that Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented Berdimuhamedov with the ‘High Degree of Friendship’ order.
