Cooper: The United Kingdom’s commitment to NATO is unshakeable
London, 17 November (Hibya) – UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper issued a statement following her visit to the COMUKCSG (UK Carrier Strike Group) vessel in Naples.
During the visit, Cooper once again emphasized the United Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to NATO and European security.
She stated that the visit conducted with Defence Secretary John Healey symbolizes her country’s strong support for the alliance.
As part of the visit, Cooper also met with Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Defence Minister Guido Crosetto, noting that steps have been taken to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in security, defence, and combating illegal migration.
It was reported that the UK and Italy will continue to work closely in coordination to address regional security challenges and shared threats.
