Saar spoke with Thai Foreign Minister Phuangketkeow
Jerusalem, October 20 (Hibya) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced that he held a phone call with Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow.
Saar stated that he spoke with Phuangketkeow following the repatriation of the body of Thai hostage Sonthaya Oakkharasri.
He said, “I informed him about the return of Sonthaya’s remains and conveyed my deepest condolences to the people and family of Thailand. I also emphasized Israel’s ongoing efforts to return the bodies of the remaining 16 deceased hostages, including Thai citizen Sudthisak Rinthalak.”
Saar added, “Regarding Hamas’s attack yesterday on Israel Defense Forces soldiers, I made it clear that Israel will respond strongly to any violation of the ceasefire. We also discussed bilateral relations, including the importance of Thai workers in Israel.”
