Popşoi meets with EU Commissioner Kos
Chisinau, October 20 (Hibya) – Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popşoi held a meeting with European Union (EU) Commissioner Marta Kos.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Popşoi said that they had a productive meeting with EU Commissioner Marta Kos.
Popşoi stated that they discussed Moldova’s European path, cooperation with the EU, and their readiness to begin the next stage of accession negotiations through the opening of negotiation clusters.
Expressing his satisfaction at meeting with his Irish counterpart Simon Harris, Popşoi said: “We discussed the opening of the Irish Embassy in Chisinau, ways to deepen our cooperation, and Ireland’s 2026 EU Council Presidency. We thank Ireland for its support for our European journey.”
