Foreign Minister Sybiha stated that he had a productive meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Rangel on the sidelines of the Foreign Affairs Council session in Luxembourg.

He noted that they discussed steps to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense and military capabilities, as well as support for the country’s energy system, which continues to face Russian attacks ahead of winter. Sybiha added that they agreed to cooperate within various EU instruments and sanctions policies, including the SAFE initiative.

Sybiha also emphasized that they focused on Ukraine’s EU accession process and ways to defend the country’s interests among Portuguese-speaking nations.
