Saar: Preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is a shared goal
Jerusalem, April 3 (Hibya) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is a shared goal for both France and Israel.
Minister Saar noted that there has been a longstanding friendship between Israel and France dating back to the early days of the state.
He thanked French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot for his hospitality and said they had a good and productive meeting in Paris on Lebanon, Syria, the Palestinian Islamic Movement, and the issue of hostages.
Saar also said they discussed Iran, which he described as the greatest threat to regional and global stability, stating: “Preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is a shared goal for both France and Israel.”
