Prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine has begun
Kyiv, May 23 (Hibya) – Today marked the beginning of the prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine, agreed upon in Türkiye as a 1000-for-1000 deal. As part of the exchange, 390 Ukrainian captives returned home.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that 390 Ukrainians have returned home today as part of the exchange agreed upon in Türkiye.
The Ministry stated: “This is an incredible joy for all the families who have waited and hoped for the return of their loved ones. We expect more returns over the weekend. Full implementation of this agreement is crucial. We thank everyone who has worked tirelessly to make these reunions possible. We will continue our efforts to bring all our people back home.”
