Plane collision in Arizona: At least one dead
Arizona, February 11 (Hibya) - A plane landing at an airport in Scottsdale, Arizona, collided with a parked plane, resulting in at least one death and multiple injuries.
According to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, the accident occurred when a private jet veered off the runway and hit a similar plane.
According to local emergency services, three injured individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The plane that landed right after a flight from Austin, Texas, had four people on board. There was one person inside the parked plane.
The airport is a popular hub for private jets in the Phoenix area, especially during major events like the PGA Phoenix Open golf tournament this weekend.
The accident follows a series of recent aviation disasters in the U.S.
On January 30, a passenger plane collided mid-air with a U.S. military helicopter over Washington, D.C., killing all 67 people on board. Shortly after, a plane crashed directly into a residential neighborhood in Philadelphia, killing seven people and injuring 19 others. Last week, a small regional passenger plane heading to Nome, Alaska, crashed, resulting in 10 fatalities.
