Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomes France’s recognition decision
Ramallah, July 25 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine.
The ministry welcomed the decision as an expression of commitment to international law, a political resolution to the conflict, the implementation of the two-state solution in accordance with UN resolutions, and the achievement of peace in the region and the world.
The ministry extended its gratitude and appreciation to President Macron, the government and the people of France for this historic decision, as emphasized in his response to the letter from President Mahmoud Abbas. It called on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to initiate this process and urged all nations to actively participate in the upcoming UN conference in New York.
