Orban: The Swedish people are trapped in disorder
Budapest, September 17 (Hibya) – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban highlighted the wave of unrest and violence in Sweden while emphasizing Hungary’s security.
Assessing the situation in Sweden, Viktor Orban said: “We feel sorry for the Swedish people; their leaders spend their time blaming others while they are stuck in disorder.”
Regarding his own country’s situation, Orban stated: “In Hungary – 0 bombings, 0 illegal migrants, 132 human traffickers caught, and in 2024 alone 16,000 illegal migrants apprehended. Safe, orderly, under control.”
On Sweden’s data, Orban noted: “In 2024 – 317 explosions linked to gangs, 32 this January, 62,000 cases connected with criminal networks, 8,935 illegal migrants, firearm homicide rate 4 per million, while the EU average is 1.6.”
Orban added that Sweden itself has acknowledged this situation, quoting Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson: “It is quite clear that we have no control over this wave of violence.”
