Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

One of the people familiar with the talks said, “The matter is under discussion.”

The senior U.S. official and those familiar with the talks said that the visit has not yet been confirmed, and it is unclear whether Zelensky will be in Alaska for the negotiations.

The senior administration official said it is “definitely” possible.

“Everyone is very hopeful this will happen,” the official added.

When asked whether the U.S. had officially invited Zelensky to Alaska, a senior White House official said: “The President remains open to a trilateral summit with both leaders. The White House is currently focused on planning the bilateral meeting requested by President Putin.”

The Ukrainian government did not respond to a request for comment.

On Friday, while seeking to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine, Trump announced that he would meet Putin in Alaska on August 15. The White House had initially put forward a meeting between Putin and Zelensky as a precondition for a meeting between Trump and the Russian President, but Trump later said this was not a precondition.

If Zelensky travels to Alaska, one of the participants in the talks said it was unclear whether he would be in the same room with Putin.

The increase in diplomatic activity aimed at ending the war in Ukraine came after Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, met Putin in Moscow on Friday, ahead of a deadline he set for the Russian leader to agree to a ceasefire or face new sanctions.

Putin did not accept the ceasefire but proposed the outline of a deal to end the war that would allow Russia to retain much of the Ukrainian territory. On Saturday, Zelensky defiantly stated that Ukrainians “will not give their land to the occupiers.”

On Friday, Trump said there would be “some territorial swaps that would benefit both sides” between Russia and Ukraine.

On Saturday, administration officials were working to secure support from the Ukrainian government and European leaders for a possible ceasefire.
