Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that French President Emmanuel Macron’s intention to recognize a Palestinian state is a shameful act.

Katz emphasized that this rewards and encourages the murderers and rapists of Hamas, saying:

"These individuals carried out the most horrific massacre against the Jewish people since the Holocaust. At a time when Israel is being tested, instead of standing with us, the French President is acting to weaken us. We will not allow the establishment of a Palestinian entity that harms our security, threatens our existence, and undermines our historical right to the land of Israel. We are united to prevent this serious danger."
