Merz: We can no longer trust that America will protect us
Berlin, 17 November (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that they can no longer rely on America to protect them, on China to supply raw materials, or on Russia to desire peace.
Emphasizing that they must be independent, German Chancellor Merz stated that they can no longer depend on America's protection, China’s raw material supply, or Russia’s willingness for peace.
Merz noted that the world is changing and said: “For this reason, Germany and France must act shoulder to shoulder.”
