Lazzarini said that the acts of war in Gaza show a complete disregard for human life in full view of the world.

He noted that people are once again trapped, bombed, displaced, and starved:

“No one is safe, no one is spared. Due to the siege imposed by Israeli authorities, an entire population is being denied the basic necessities for survival.”

He added that humanitarian aid, medical and commercial supplies, food and fuel have been banned from entering Gaza for over a month: “World leaders must act urgently, decisively, and firmly to uphold the core principles of international humanitarian law.”
