European Parliament: Today, on International Roma Day, we honor them
Brussels, April 8 (Hibya) – The European Parliament issued a statement on the occasion of International Roma Day.
The European Parliament stated that it is estimated that up to 12 million Roma live in Europe and that their situation is concerning.
In the statement, the European Parliament said: "Today, on International Roma Day, we honor them. Last week, MEPs discussed the EU Roma strategy and the fight against discrimination in the EU with representatives from the Commission and the Council."
