Lahbib noted that the operation launched in July has now been completed.

She emphasized that each flight was a lifeline contributing to limiting the spread of cholera and delivering vital supplies to those in urgent need. “This effort crossed continents thanks to the tireless operations carried out by the European Union and the United Arab Emirates. Each take-off carried hope for families in crisis,” Lahbib said.

She added that the operation supported 11 humanitarian partners: “This was an initiative that required joint strength, resources and determination. Together, we ensured that vital aid, including medicines, medical equipment, and food, reached those in need. We are grateful to our partners and to all humanitarian workers who continue to keep the Yemen crisis on the agenda.”

Lahbib concluded that these critical discussions will continue at the UN General Assembly to keep Yemen high on the political agenda.
