Iran condemns Israel's plan to fully occupy Gaza
Tehran, August 9 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei condemned Israel's plan to militarily occupy Gaza City and forcibly displace its residents, describing it as part of an effort to complete the genocide against the Palestinian people.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei strongly condemned Israel's plan to militarily occupy Gaza City and forcibly displace its residents, calling it part of an attempt to complete the genocide against the Palestinian people.
Baghaei stressed that all governments and the United Nations have a legal and moral responsibility to stop the genocide and grave crimes committed in the occupied Palestinian territories.
He described the continued complicity of the United States and some other Western countries in the crimes of the Israeli regime as shameful, emphasizing that forcing the Israeli regime to stop the genocide and to immediately send humanitarian aid to the hungry and thirsty people of Gaza should end a catastrophe that shakes the legal, normative, and moral foundations of human civilization.
Baghaei also noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran has formally requested the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to urgently convene a meeting with the participation of the host country, Saudi Arabia, and the current Chair of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Turkey.
