New York, December 20 (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that 2024 was the deadliest year on record for aid workers in Sudan.
UN Secretary-General Guterres expressed anger over the death of three World Food Program staff members in an airstrike on a field office in Sudan.
Guterres emphasized that 2024 was the deadliest year for aid workers in Sudan, saying, "Despite significant threats to their security, they continue to do their utmost to provide vital support wherever needed."
Guterres extended his condolences to the families of the victims and colleagues at the World Food Program.
