Ghebreyesus: We are determined to support Ukraine’s efforts
Geneva, November 6 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that they are determined to support Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its human resources in the field of mental health with the best knowledge, tools, and practices.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus thanked Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska for her leadership on mental health and for launching the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program.
“Ukraine’s experience contributes to shaping global policies, including the World Health Assembly resolution on mental health and psychosocial support in emergencies,” he said.
Ghebreyesus affirmed that the World Health Organization is committed to continuing to support Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its mental health workforce with the best knowledge, tools, and practices.
